Built for a private client in New York, this model was intended to capture the on-screen look and feel of the ship, as seen in the Star Trek: The Next Generation TV show.

Significant modifications were made to AMT's 1/1400 scale model kit to improve accuracy, and a custom lighting system was installed to recreate the look of the ship as faithfully as possible. The paint scheme was to be in muted greys for the main hull "aztec" hull plating, with other features painted as per the 4' filming model. Custom decals were used for the hull graphics - ship's name and registry number, various penants and markings etc, to further improve the overall accuracy and appearance of the model
